I have always dedicated my worldwide travel to storytelling through photography, and more specifically to seek out threatened cultures, be they people, animals, or environments. I traveled to Rwanda to find the dwindling mountain gorillas. I visited the Mongolian reindeer herders to document their culture before it vanishes. The turning point came in India where I discovered that faces and emotions can be captured by one shot. Immersing myself by spending time with these cultures helps me to understand and infuse my pictures with a magnitude that will hopefully inspire women to chase their dreams. By spreading knowledge through continued blogging, I’ve tried to give back to the environment, be it through my work with The Wild Foundation, gifting supplies in Africa, or donating photographs to the Colorado Horse Rescue. Conservation isn’t always black and white, but I hope that my pictures can educate and enlighten to make the planet more colorful.
